Recently a video we made for the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra and Tourism Calgary has been doing the rounds, including Global, CBC and CNN.

Nur Films Just finished a series of documentation and support material workshops across Alberta for the Canada Council for the Arts. We documented Calgary and Edmonton, check out these short clips.

Nur Films Creative Director Ramin Eshraghi-Yazdi was voted second best filmmaker in the FastForward Best of Calgary peoples choice 2011. Second to Gary Burns, not bad.

We are showing ‘Haunted’ the Ghostkeeper Music Video in Israel, in Tel Aviv. TLV Icon Film Festival is happening July 8-9th. Cool.

THIS YEAR HAS BEEN AMAZING

Fully moved into our first full functioning creative studio.
Our Ghostkeeper video was very successful at the film festivals most recently having won best music video at Imaginative in Toronto.
Completed our second feature length documentary ‘One Problem’
Currently finishing a short format narrative film
In development on our third feature documentary, a slew of music videos, and a feature prodcution.

Nur Films and Hot Yoga on 17th would like to thank everyone who came out to and or made donations for the Nur Films Showcase. At the end of it all we will have raised $2700.00 to help the relief effort in Haiti. You are good people with good hearts and thanks for sitting through the films.

Nur films and Hot Yoga On 17th have teamed up for a night of film and fundraising. Nur films has put together a showcase of works that will be screened this Sunday the 24th at the Em Media Screening room located at 351 11th Ave SW, entrance through the parking lot. Entry is by donation and all proceeds will be matched by Hot Yoga On 17th and then matched again by the Canadian Government in support of the Haiti relief effort.

Doors open at 6:30 and the show will start at 7 with a selection of short films followed by the feature documentary Street Sounds NY.

Nur Film’s Ramin Eshraghi- Yazdi and Calgary’s local rock greats Keys To the City teamed up this year for the High Performance Rodeo’s opening night Grand Stand to provide a collage of sound and film.
